EMS Week 2017

A Message from the President:

I would like to take a moment and wish you all a happy, healthy and safe EMS week!

This year’s theme, “Always in Service” is truly fitting. Across the country, hour after hour, day after day, EMS providers answer the call. From minor illness or just holding a hand, to a catastrophic injury or the unthinkable disaster, EMS is there answering the call, always in service.

Always in Service means personal sacrifice. It may mean working a long grueling shift or working at night when the rest of the community is sound asleep. It may mean working weekends when all your friends and family are home enjoying a barbeque, baseball game or birthday party. Always in Service doesn’t discriminate; it may mean working Thanksgiving Day, New Year’s Eve or any other holiday and celebration.

During this week let us celebrate our profession, continue to plan for our future and never forget those that made the ultimate sacrifice in the name of EMS.

Thank you for what you do each and every day!

Stay safe!
